Manchester United contract rebel Marouane Fellaini has moved out of his Cheshire home as he considers accepting a lucrative offer from AC Milan, according to reports.
The Belgian, who was not included in the squad that lost to Chelsea at Wembley in the FA Cup final on Saturday, is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer.
Manager Jose Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to sign Fellaini up to an extension, but the 30-year-old has so far rejected three proposals from the Red Devils.
And now The Mirror claim he moved out of his Cheshire home shortly before the FA Cup final in the biggest hint yet that he is leaving Manchester.
Fellaini is believed to be holding out for a three-year contract and pay rise, but United are only prepared to offer a one-year deal that maintains his current salary.
That stance risks seeing Fellaini leave the club, especially with Belgian newspaper La Derniere Heure reporting that AC Milan have offered him the terms he desires.
The Italian giants are happy to give in to Fellaini’s demands and will offer a three-year contract and pay rise, with manager Genaro Gattuso eager to strengthen his side.
United will not match the length of the deal offered by Milan, but talks between the player and the club are still ongoing and he could yet remain at Old Trafford.
Nevertheless, there is a growing sense that Fellaini’s time at United is coming to an end, and now the onus is on the likes of PSG, Monaco, Besiktas and several Chinese clubs to match Milan’s offer.
