Vincent Kompany believes Thursday’s match against Arsenal will represent Manchester City’s toughest test of the season so far.
The runaway Premier League leaders travel to the Emirates just four days after crushing Arsene Wenger’s side 3-0 in the final of the Carabao Cup.
Arsenal have lost four of their last six games in all competitions and were ridiculed for their lack of effort and fighting spirit on Sunday.
Kompany, however, fears the Gunners will be like a wounded animal and desperate to make up for last weekend’s disappointment.

He told Sky Sports: ‘I think it will be the hardest game of the season for that reason you cannot take away it’s a team with a lot of quality.
‘The players are probably wounded at this moment in time and we’ve all been on the side of the Arsenal players at some point in our careers.
‘Everybody is quick to jump on the bandwagon to write you off.
‘For them it’s an incredible chance to play against us because they can put a lot of things behind them.’
