Manchester United target Ivan Perisic has been taken ‘off the market’ by new Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti, reports in Italy say.
Perisic, 28, has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League after emerging as one of the most effective wingers in Europe.
Jose Mourinho is believed to be a huge admirer of the Croatia international, considering sanctioning a huge move for his signature this summer.
But United’s hopes of luring Perisic to Old Trafford have been dented with Inter deciding to take him ‘off the market’.
Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport say manager Spalletti is now desperate to keep hold of the former Wolfsburg star as he targets success in his first season at the club.
Perisic enjoyed another superb season in Serie A, scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists in 35 games for Inter.

And with the Italian giants playing hardball, it is claimed Mourinho may turn his attentions to Fiorentina star Federico Bernardeschi, who is currently at the U21 European Championships.
The 23-year-old is refusing to sign a new contract in Florence and, while Juventus are said to lead the race to secure his signature, United are keeping tabs on his situation.
